Saxion Scholarships programme

Saxion offers a range of scholarships for talented international students from outside the EU/EEA, which are summarised further below.

Please note that you will only have to apply once and that you do not have to apply for a specific scholarship separately. In the application form you will be asked for which scholarship you feel you are eligible for. After receipt of your application we will first consider you for the highest possible scholarship you are eligible for. If you are not selected for that scholarship, you will be subsequently considered for the following.

Types of scholarships

Saxion offers the following scholarships ranked from the highest to the lowest amount:

1. The SLTS (Saxion Living Technology Scholarships)

The Saxion Living Technology scholarship is for excellent and very talented students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) that participate in technical bachelor and master programmes. The scholarship grants a deduction on the total package fee of €10.000,-.

2. The SHTTS (Saxion Holland Top Talent Scholarship)

This scholarship is meant for excellent and very talented students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to follow their bachelor’s or master’s degree in the Netherlands.

The scholarship grant covers the institutional tuition fee, with the exception of the statutory tuition fee. The statutory tuition fee is adjusted every academic year.

3. The STS (Saxion Talent Scholarship)

This scholarship is meant for talented students that apply for a bachelor programme with above average study results. This scholarship offers a deduction of €3300,- on the total package fee.

Additional application information

Application deadlines

For our September intake the deadline to apply for a scholarship is 15 April, for the February intake the deadline is 1 December. If you apply for a scholarship, allocation will be based on a ranking. You will be ranked based on your study results (GPA) of the most recent fully completed school year and your English language proficiency level.

Starting in September

If you are granted a scholarship, you will have to hand over proof of your English proficiency level and have to settle payment before 15 June to redeem your scholarship.
